In today's fast-paced, hyper-connected world, the pressure to be productive is irrationally relentless.
We are constantly reminded that productivity is the key to success -- that subsequently has been corrupted to believe that productivity is essential for survival and preservation.
Many of us feel an overwhelming urge to engage in activities that we perceive as productive -- be it through social shame, keeping up with society, to avoid political conflict through GDP growth.
When writing software, the longer we spend our lvies doing it, the more we often encounter tradeoffs in information, like abstraction and locality of behavior (LoB).
We celebrate heroes, entrepreneurs, artists, and independent thinkers. These individuals are often showcased as beacons of innovation and progress.
Yet, despite this glorification, conformism remains is the norm, not exception through all observed history.
